NSW Food Program
The NSW Food Program funds service providers to transport and distribute food throughout NSW to support disadvantaged children, individuals, and families and to strengthen disadvantaged communities. The food transported must be either non-perishable foods or as perishable food that can be transported without refrigeration.
Aboriginal child and family centres (NSW government family and community services)
Aboriginal Child and Family Centres (ACFCs) in NSW provide services such as early childhood education and care, parent and family support, maternal and child health and adult education opportunities to help support Indigenous communities and families. (These programs help indigenous individuals get out of the poverty cycle, provide a better lifestyle for families, support children in getting an education and help adult get jobs. This all contributing in improving mental and physical wellbeing, and food security). They were established under the Indigenous Early Childhood Development National Partnership Agreement as part of the Closing the Gap initiative.
The nine Aboriginal Child and Family Centres are located in Brewarrina, Lightning Ridge, Gunnedah, Mount Druitt, Nowra, Toronto, Minto, Doonside, and Ballina.

Nepean Community & Neighbourhood Services (NCNS)
Nepean Community & Neighbourhood Services is the largest provider of Aboriginal support services in the Penrith area, staffed by a large team of local Aboriginal community workers. The centres that are based for Aboriginal services are located in Kingswood Park and Cranebrook. There are also many activities in the community at locations which help in the overall welling of indigenous citizen, whether it be their mental, physical, or spiritual health. 36% of NCNS funding is Aboriginal specific therefore NCNS are able to provide direct and effective relief to those suffering from the highest level of disadvantage.

- Aboriginal Girls Dance group (helping with physical and social health)
- Koori Cuppa Time – Aboriginal women’s group (mental wellbeing)
- Aboriginal Carers Support group (social and mental support)
- Aboriginal Young Women’s Art Group (increasing women’s felling of independence and wellbeing)
- Tutoring for Aboriginal children (family support) (education can help with getting families out of the poverty cycle and high education is linked with higher income and better mental wellbeing)
- Koori Games – sport and rec program (helping with physical and social health)
- Community & cultural events and celebrations (helping to increase knowledge of indigenous culture, traditions and heritage. This can give individuals a better sense of identity and mental wellbeing)

Second Bite
Second Bite is an organisation providing disadvantaged individuals with nutritious fresh food. Their aim is to ensure that vulnerable Australians have improved access to fresh nutritious rescued food.

St Vincent De Paul has many organists which can help indigenous people in time with needs regarded to food or other issues that can all contribute to food inequity

Redcross
The Australian Red Cross FOODcents programs teach people how to get value for money and achieve a balanced diet. Red Cross helps families make sustainable changes to diet, physical activity, food budgeting and healthy weight, helping them to improve their health, prevent and manage chronic disease better and learn skills for economic self-reliance.
The program is holistic, multifaceted and community focused - a healthy lifestyle program that targets a wide range of vulnerable and hard to reach groups including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, migrants, refugees, prisoners, the elderly, people with mental illness and young people. |

Good Start Breakfast Clubs
Good Start Breakfast Clubs provide a healthy breakfast and nutrition information school kids, who may otherwise go to school hungry, in areas of greatest need around Australia. Schools are supported to set up breakfast clubs, to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children can sit down and enjoy a nutritious morning meal with others. Breakfast clubs are run around the country, from cities and towns to remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation
The IAC’s emergency relief program provided financial assistance to local aboriginal citizen of the area. They are provide with funds for food, electricity, gas or travel. It is eligible for aboriginal person over 16 that reside in Wollongong, Shellharbour or Kimma Areas.
